Spiral round and rectangular ductwork, fabricated in our own shop and built to your job — shorter lead times, tighter cost control, and quality we stand behind.
Salmon Mechanical manufactures HVAC ductwork in-house — every piece cut, formed, and fabricated by our own crews to your project’s specifications. Because we own the shop, we control the schedule and the quality: no waiting on an outside supplier’s backlog, no guessing whether the duct will fit when it hits the field. We fabricate both spiral round and rectangular duct, so a single source covers the whole system.
Spiral round is efficient to run, clean to look at, and fast to install. Its self-sealing seams and longer sections mean fewer joints, less leakage, and lower friction loss per foot — a strong choice for exposed-structure designs and any system where air performance matters. We fabricate spiral round to your diameters, gauges, and fittings.
Round pipe fabricated to spec in a full range of diameters and gauges
Elbows, tees, reducers, and custom fittings
Clean appearance for exposed-ceiling and architectural applications
Fewer joints and lower leakage for better system efficiency
Rectangular duct fits where space is tight and ceilings are low, and it’s easy to line for acoustic and thermal performance. We fabricate rectangular duct and fittings to your gauges, seams, reinforcement, and insulation requirements — sized and built to the drawings so it installs clean the first time.
Straight sections and fittings built to your dimensions
Single- and double-wall construction with lining options
Seam, gauge, and reinforcement built to spec and code
Efficient use of limited ceiling and chase space
Standard duct off a shelf rarely matches a real building. Every piece we make is custom — the right size, shape, connection, seam, gauge, and reinforcement for your system and your code requirements. Our field and shop teams work from the same drawings, so what we fabricate is what installs, with fewer surprises and fewer change orders.
Both have their place, and the right answer depends on your building. A few of the trade-offs we’ll walk through with you:
Space: Rectangular fits low ceilings and tight chases; round needs more room but ships and stores broken down.
Installation: Round installs fast — longer sections, fewer joints, less assembly.
Efficiency: Round self-seals and loses less air; rectangular has more connections and higher friction loss.
Lining & insulation: Rectangular is simple to line; round and oval are simplest to wrap.
In-house fabrication is one reason customers keep the whole job under one roof. Salmon Mechanical delivers ductwork, HVAC, plumbing, and building automation under one contract — one accountable team from the shop floor to commissioning. Locally owned and operated since 1979, we’re built on craftsmanship, lifelong relationships, and doing what we say we’re going to do.
